Enter Bruce the Savior
Its just too bad he didn't stick around. At least he provided us with one last year of strong shows following Brent's untimely passing. His departure from playing with the boys part time was definitely the end of the last golden era IMHO. Bobby comes up with some wacky improv lyrics on Masterpiece along the lines of "sail around the world in a dirty gondola to the land of Coca-Cola". Freestyle Dead at its finest! Decent performance, great sound featuring the most welcome addition to the lineup and as a result the start of yet another good run.

And so begins a refreshing 18 month sojourn where Bruce brings organic grand piano back to the Dead after a decade's absence.

I believe this was Hornsby's "first show". I like how they started the second set with "The Weight", Brent's last song. (Last lyrics were, "I've got to go, but, my friends can stick around.) Also, this is the only Gimmee Some Lovin without Brent.
This show is the beginning of a new era. We all what an impact Bruce had on the boys. It's pretty cool that they paid hommage to their fallen comrade during his first "official" show.

Good show ... well played ... love the middie thru Touch ... solid recording though it sounds like it was Dolby'd. Doesn't have that crystal edge that most of Miller's do.

Yep, I remember the sound....
This recording really FEELS like 90-91. I don't know if it's the remaster, or just another great MSG recording, but I'm there.
More than most recordings, this takes me back to "my" GD era.
Great sound, cool set.

Great Sounding Show If I Could Get It To Play
Something's wrong with the buffering on this show. It starts and stops. Loading very slowly. Got through 5 songs, got frustrated, logged off. This is something internal within the Archives, I guess.
Maybe we need to send them a donation so they can keep the mice fed.
